On-line career service
Many students attend MBS to enhance their career opportunities or alter career direction. The MBS Careers Centre in Melbourne offers all MBS students the opportunity to participate in a three-stage Career Management Program. This program is designed to develop lifelong career skills and help students take advantage of career opportunities after they have completed their studies. The Career Management Program supports students in the following ways:
- Stage 1 - Self assessment. Online self assessment tools and workshops assist in clearly determining your values, abilities and interests.
- Stage 2 - Set goals and build skills. A range of online resources help you research the business environment, set career goals and develop the skills required to sell yourself into the market (resume writing, interviewing, networking). Our extensive alumni network provides information and advice to current students on career-related issues.
- Stage 3 - Job search. The Careers Centre works with the MBS Beijing office and the alumni network to help you build job prospects.
The Careers Centre recognises the time constraints of part-time students, and the Career Management Program is structured accordingly. This program considers career and job progression within a company, analyses new career paths, and focuses on developing career skills that will stay with you throughout your lifetime.
