Program structure

Sixteen month commitment

The program takes approximately 16 months part-time to complete and comprises thirteen subjects. Nine of these form the core subjects. Five of the core are marketing subjects, and four others provide a foundation of business knowledge to assist you as a marketer to work effectively within the entirety of the business environment by understanding how to integrate marketing with other business functions.

Introductory intensive subject (1):

  • Core marketing subjects (4):

  • Marketing
  • Marketing Research
  • Consumer Behaviour
  • Marketing Strategy
  • Core business knowledge subjects (4):

  • Managerial Economics
  • Data and Decisions
  • Managing People for High Performance
  • Accounting for Managers

  • The remaining four subjects are specialty marketing or marketing-related subjects that cover a range of topics. Two examples of specialty marketing subjects are Service Marketing and Brand Management.

    All members of an intake take the same 13 subjects.

    Each subject is taught in a two-week intensive mode, beginning on a Saturday or Sunday and finishing on a Saturday or Sunday two weeks later. Classes are held every other day. A sample schedule for one subject would be as follows.

    Day 1   Saturday, 9 am - 5:30 pm
    Day 4   Tuesday, 6:30 pm - 10 pm
    Day 6   Thursday, 6:30 pm - 10 pm
    Day 8   Saturday, 9 am - 5:30 pm
    Day 9   Sunday, 9 am - 5:30 pm
    Day 12   Wednesday, 6:30 pm - 10 pm
    Day 15   Saturday, 9 am - 5:30 pm

    Subjects are spaced approximately five to seven weeks apart, throughout the year.

    All subjects are taught in part-time mode, allowing you to continue your career while completing your degree.
