Respected credentials
The Master of Marketing has been developed like all MBS courses to provide graduates with the technical skills, the professional confidence and the high-level connections their careers demand.
The Master of Marketing equips marketing managers with an understanding of:
- the main activities needed to achieve the objectives of marketing management, and
- the issues involved in the analysis, planning, implementation, and control of marketing programs.
Our course is especially designed for the many people who find themselves in a marketing role or company without any formal qualifications in marketing.
The Master of Marketing in Beijing
As firms demand answers and accountability from their marketing departments, marketing professionals see the need for professional qualifications of the highest standard. Successful marketers today must understand the traditional domain of marketing such as brand management, promotional strategies, channel relationships and product positioning. But they also require the skills to manage and lead teams, to communicate accurately in the language of finance, and to analyse the implications of the environmental change with which they are confronted.
The Melbourne Business School Master of Marketing program is designed to deliver these skills and understanding. We work with marketing professionals and those from other backgrounds who work in marketing-related industries to build skills, understanding and confidence. Our students are drawn from blue chip companies, from marketing specialists, from giant multinationals and from boutique operations. They come from the private, government and the not-for-profit sectors. Their backgrounds vary widely, but all are seeking an enhanced set of marketing skills which can be applied quickly to their working life. Our selection standards are high because we recognise students learn as much from each other as they do from our faculty.
The MBS Master of Marketing program has a long and successful history in Melbourne. We are now able to offer the same program in China. The Master of Marketing program in Beijing puts the quality that has built Melbourne Business School as the leading business school in the Asia Pacific region, at the service of the Chinese marketing community.
This program is approved by the Ministry of Higher Education of the People’s Republic of China.
